McDonald's has a flyer in today's paper. A female foilist pictured on one side and coupons on the back. Captioned: "I keep one eye on my opponent..." The other side says: "...and the other on my chicken."

That's clever, though I've often wondered just exactly how often all of these olympic atheletes eat at McDonalds.

I DON"T CARE WHO EATS THERE, KATMAN!!! It's WONDERFUL advertising for fencing! You shouldn't care either! What's important is that McDonald's thinks fencing will sell their product and we get the free exposure. GO USA FENCING!!! But, I do eat there, and I like McDonald's! ;D

McDonalds spends a lot of money catering towards kids, and many of them (including mine) like their food. I enjoy their taco salads and Dasani water, but not much else. However, it is great that they used a foilist in their ads. The exposure fencing gets with the younger generation(our future) just might hep us grow.

I didn't mean to bash the exposure or over-all advertising. It was just a random thing I sometimes wonder.

McDonald's came through again! The coupon magazine in today's Sunday Austin American-Statesman features the female foilist picture on the front page! Too cool! Guess I'll just go get me a couple of burgers! ;D
