There's been a slight delay due to some outstanding circumstances, but here is the 2007-2008 SSCC schedule - as it currently stands.
Sept 29-30 Gulf Coast SSCC (Gulf Coast Division) Oct 20-21 Longhorn Open (South Texas Division) Feb 23-24 Rose Condon Memorial (Ark-La-Miss Division) Mar 29-30 Oz Parson's Memorial (Oklahoma Division)
The North Texas Division entry to the SSCC schedule is in a bit of flux, as the club that was going to be the host for it has disbanded. The North Texas Division will be hosting the event as a Division-sponsored venture, and is currently checking the availability of venues, with the plan to have a definitive contract locked in place by the end of the week. They are looking at the early parts of January and February, and apologize for delay and disruption this will no doubt cause!

David: First of all, thank you. My division meets this Wednesday to work on our 2007-2008 schedule and this represents 100% more information than we had. It will help us avoid conflicts. For the benefit of others, I have incorporated the information into the forum calendar, subject to revision, of course. I also added the material LongBlade posted, re: the South Texas schedule. As soon as we have our season worked out later this week, I'll incorporate it into the forum calendar, as well. I'll also post it up on the Gulf Coast Board. Sorry to hear about the turn of events in the North Texas Division. I'm sure a venue will be found. As always, if there is some way for any of the rest of us to help, please let us know.

Thanks Schlager,
At this point, its just a matter of being patient with us while we try to get this sorted out. I think we have an opportunity here to put together a first class, high profile event, and one that has the possibility of continuing with the same tournament management team from year to year. What we're thinking of doing is actually doing a combined RYC and SSCC event - that is the venue issue right there! For that kind of event, we'd need more strips than any of our traditional venues can hold. Fortunately, we have some contacts that make that a possibility!
A number of people have expressed to us that we must be out of our minds to even contemplate such an endeavor. But, I seriously think that we can make the thing work, and work well. The critical matter IS the venue - something in the 15-18K sq ft range. And we'll need every referee we can get our hands on to pull it off...

Well, it is certainly an ambitious goal, but I seem to recall in the northeast one year a Super RYC combined with either an NCAA or a USACFC championship.
It can be done.

One of the most successful RYC's is the Arnold Fencing Classic - which is combined with a major Open tournament as well... So, we can count on your referee support?

It's hard to given a hard and fast "yes" or "no" without a date to base it on. I can give a tentative "yes," allowing other factors may come into play.
I put my other thoughts in a PM to you.
