Try on shoes. Think about shoes while grabbing a pretzel. Decide against shoes. Walk around mall. Think about shoes again. Buy shoes.
Until yesterday, that was my average trip to the mall.
But after spending the evening with a very talented group at Katy Blades Fencing Academy inside Katy Mills Mall, I might have to add fencing to my list of things to do while at the mall.
"Fencing is something you can do no matter what your size, your height or your strength," said August Skopik, coach and founder of Katy Blades Fencing Academy. "As long as you're smart and you do what your coach asks you to do, you can be successful in fencing."
What's really interesting about fencing is that age and size don't seem to matter. Skopik said he's had students that range in ages from 6 to 75.
"We were designed for people who have never fenced before who would like to try fencing," Skopik said.
Thanks to Kyrie and Matt for this suggestion.

Classes are available for all skill levels. Not sure you're ready to sign up for a class? Stop by the mall this weekend to watch a tournament hosted at Katy Blades from 10:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and 11:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday.
Question: What other interesting classes are available in Houston?
