Ok, I know you guys might be getting tired of me and my high school engineering questions about fencing and weapons, but right now, I need pictures of injuries caused by fencing... Bruise pix included! Please help me out and send me some, along with your real name (first name only) and your location (as in state). I greatly appreciate it!!!

You do realize that fencers, like most other people in the world, rarely record their injuries on film (unless you wind up wearing a cast or a sling for awhile).

Frankly, I'd wonder about a person who went around photographing their odd bruises and minor injuries.
Of course, this is to say nothing of the fact that a lot of our type injuries (pulled muscles, ligaments, tendons... ) just don't show on the outside.

Good Luck on this one,you might check out fencing websites, I dont ever take pictures of injuries, unless its an xray or ultrasound, thankfully I havent had either, and no one I know takes a picture of a bruise, good luck though, and Happy New Year.

Actually, IIRC, I heard there was a scary accident at a local club once, 3-4 years back, and photos taken.
I don't know if the fencers involved come to this forum or not.
If I have the right club in my head, schlager7 is the one to ask about pix. It shouldn't be a big secret since it is recorded in his online history of local fencing.

Yeah, I know what you're talking about, nemo.
AFAIK, neither of those fencers frequent this forum. In fact, I really can't say whether either still fences.
sloan24 was seeking first-hand info in his other thread. It didn't happen to me, so I did not add it to the data stew, as it were.
I still have at least one photo of the mask. I don't know if I still have any others. I doubt injury to equipment counts.

You know... in 32 years of fencing, I never once even thought to take a picture of a fencing injury. Don't remember anyone else doing it either. Sorry, Sloan.
