The Seattle Adaptive Sports Experience offers a clinic in Wheelchair and Ambulatory Fencing on Saturday, May 8, 2010 at Van Asselt Community Center in South Seattle.
The purpose of the Wheelchair Fencing clinic is to introduce the sport of fencing.
Participants will learn the basic rules, an introduction to the weapons used in the sport and the differences in the rules as applied to the weapons. You will be given the opportunity to fence an opponent using fencing equipment provided.
The clinic is Saturday, May 8, 2010, 2 p.m. - 4 p.m. at Van Asselt Community Center, 2820 South Myrtle Street, Seattle, WA 98108.
Join the Seattle Adaptive Sport Youth Social following the fencing clinic from 4-6pm.
Hang out with your friends and favorite Camp Casey counselors for some games and fun times.
The Specialized Programs Section of the Seattle of Parks and Recreation offers year-round activities for people with disabilities. The purpose is to provide recreational opportunities for individuals who may choose to participate in activities specifically designed and conducted by trained staff to best meet their needs.

schlager7: A lot of clubs won't go younger than 10 or 12, but a few take students as young as 7. (I know because there are competitions for youth 8 & under at some tournaments).
