Just FWIW, the University of St. Thomas Fencing CLub hosted the Gulf Coast Division's JO qualifiers, so I ran into their fencers that week. I also saw some at the BCFA D & Under last Saturday.
I mentioned what little I know about SWIFA to them and there seemed to be curiosity and some interest. I suggested they read the material and follow some of the links on these threads.
It later occurred to me that I should probably ask if their being a private school would be any impediment.

It later occurred to me that I should probably ask if their being a private school would be any impediment. No, it wouldn't. The By-Laws make no distinction.Article III: Membership - Dues - Competitions a) Individual Membership ... Section 2. Members must be enrolled in an accredited public or private vocational school, two year or four year college or university, graduate school, or similar institute of higher education.
