The first SWIFA of the year is supposed to be Texas A&M this year. They have agreed to host.
I have informed them that the best date is probably September 8th to avoid the Tournaments at other Universities and their own Home Football crowd on the 29 of September.
I have heard that the reserved their facility yet but they will be needing directors if anyone is interested................

Yea there are only so many weekends in a month. One of the dates is one of your tournaments. another date is baylors tournement.
Our tournament "The Bobcat" is trying to be on the 22nd. And the 29th is not only my birthday weekend, but the hosting team has a huge football tradition and a home game on that day.
which only leaves the 8th of sept.........
unless its pushed back to like October something...... in which case i belive we would need to watch for conflict with the longhorn.....

New news! this just in I got a message from the UT team:
Hey Damaris,
The officers have decided that we’re not going to be able to host a SWIFA this year and will just wait for our name to come up in the rotation again. Sorry to not be able to host the event although I’m sure we’ll be attending as usual.
Thanks,
Nick Jew
-------------- Soo it looks as thought the next host is Rice which i doubt will do it so it looks as if Texas State will get SWIFA 2 this year....... Althought I will ask Rice just to make sure.....

I may finally get to see one of these events.

Yeah, but it fell on a weekend I was obliged to referee elsewhere.
With two of them local, I should be able to catch one.
As I understand it, these are all "team" events except for some individual competitions at each SWIFA 4.
