Will be held Thursday, August 8, 2013 at 7:30PM at Salle Mauro. All clubs are encouraged to send you representative. This will be to plan out the tournaments for this fencing year in our division. If your club's representative cannot attend, try to reach the rest of us and let us know your club's intentions regarding tournaments this season. It is helpful to pick alternate dates, just in case. Last year I saw a lot of co-operation. On other topics, we must begin adapting to USA Fencing's Safesport paradigm. This requires coaches, referees, armorers, division officers and others to take out professional memberships in the USFA. The additional $35.00 covers background checks conducted by the USFA's contractor. There are a lot of questions and we can anticipate a somewhat bumpy start to the year. The USA Fencing site has a FAQ on Safesport. It is only 6 pages long and certainly worth your time since it answers most of the basic questions. The link is here: Safesport FAQ

Just FYI, the meeting has been moved. It is the same evening but at 8PM and at the Houston Athletic Fencing Center.
