The 13th Annual U.S. Iaido Embukai is a gathering of those Muso Jikiden Eishin Ryu (MJER) practitioners under Ikeda-Soke of the MJER Seitokai and ZNIR (All Japan Iaido Federation). It will be held in Denton, Texas, on November 8-10. Participation in this event is by invitation only, however visitors are welcome to watch.
There will be an introductory workout on Friday night. The formal workouts (Koshukai) will be all day Saturday. Attending students are divided up into groups, and each visiting instructor spends some time with each group throughout the day.
Sunday morning will consist of some warm-up, and finally the Embukai. An Embukai is a formal in-house demonstration. It is a chance for all attending students and instructors to demonstrate their waza.
I am posting this just to let folks know about one of the major annual events that we in Clear Lake Iaido participate in, and also just in case someone in the area would like to come watch.
This year we anticipate attendance by instructors from North Carolina, and Arizona, as well as Canada, and France.
