;D Via second hand information, I learned there is a man in Corpus Christi involved in martial arts that is also teaching fencing. I am looking into this and am praying that it is true... I would love to have a place where I could fence locally outside of CBFS. Wouldn't it be great if we could have Free Fencing nights like BCFC does once a month?

Some martial arts do eastern style swordplay which they also call 'fencing.' Might be Kendo or Kumdo or something like that, but here's hoping it isn't (for your sake ;D ).

I still have not heard any more about this topic because I have not crossed paths with the individual that alerted me to this possibility; however, if there is another fencing club in Corpus Christi, it is the greatest kept secret on earth! I hope your fingers are not purple from keeping them crossed... LOLOL!!!

Thought I would post this here, too...
Coastal Bend Fencing Society will open a second salle actually in Corpus Christi at 5801 S Staples, Suite G (Across from Fox Nursery). It will open as soon as construction is completed. We plan to fence there on Mondays and in Robstown on Thursdays. Registration for our Learn To Fence Class (Mondays from 7-8 pm) is currently open. For more information, contact Grace at Saberbobcat@aol.com.

Great work, Grace. Now if you could just work the chain of clubs just a little bit closer to H-Town. Think you could organize something in Victoria?

I had to change our schedule around a bit. For now on Mondays CBFS is fencing in Robstown at CGA (the old salle) from 7-10 pm, and on Wednesdays we are fencing in Corpus (the new salle) from 6:30-9:30 pm. We met last night for the first time in Corpus Christi. The building used to be a Mr. Gatti's, so the AC is to die for! I also got some wonderful news last night. Corpus Christi Independent School District just added us to their small list of businesses preapproved for alternative P.E. credit. ;D I may smile nonstop for a month! Watch out, Nemo! Eventually, I plan to live in Port A. How did you get so good at reading minds?

Hail, all! You can access the the Coastal Bend Fencing Society by going to their regular web address. I was moving things around on our new server and placed an instant redirect on the old site till we can switch the domain name over. www.coastalbendfencingsociety.com/edit: I've just been told the redirect may not work for everyone. Here is the direct site: 204.11.239.224/Sorry Grace, I was playing around again Car
