The USFA is sending this out to the various fencing clubs.
December 27, 2004
Dear US Fencing Member Club:
I am writing to inform you of two special programs that are available to your club.
The first is the Coach of the Year nomination. Every year the USFA chooses an outstanding coach for the Coach of the Year. The winner will receive a plaque and will be recognized in the United States Olympic Committee Coach of The Year Souvenir Program book. This coach also becomes a candidate for the USOC Coach of the Year in his or her category. Categories are: Volunteer Coach, Developmental Coach, and the "Doc Counsilman" Science award.
Please download the forms and instructions on how to nominate your outstanding coach. Nomination forms along with a quality headshot of your coach should be sent to chris.cuddy@ufencing.org. All nominations must be received by January 5, 2005.
The second program is a special fundraiser the USFA is offering to all member clubs. As a part of its USOC funding, the USFA has access to a limited number of McDonald's gift coupon books and Chevron gifts cards. The USFA would like to offer these to our member clubs on a first come first served basis at a special discounted price of 50% off of the face value. Clubs may use the coupon books and gift cards as fundraisers, or as special rewards for their members. These items would do well in silent auctions or as a special fundraiser for your club.
To take advantage of this program, please complete and submit the order form by e-mail, fax or mail. E-mail orders should be sent to lana.hunt@usfencing.org. Orders must be placed by January 30, 2005.
If you have any questions or needs regarding membership, please do not hesitate to contact me (dana.brown@usfencing.org) at the US Fencing National Office.
Sincerely,
Dana Brown
Director of Member Services
