On a website called "Classical Fencing & Historical Swordsmanship Resources" I found only three listings for Texas. One in Houston. One in Seabrook (wherever that is, besides the link is dead) and this:
Nicholas Iago Gershberg -- Austin, TX (fall and spring only; other times see New York). Email pistolix{at}aol{dot}com, phone (512)-481-1737, mail 2917 Rio Grande St., Austin, TX 78705. French & Italian foil, Italian sabre.
I can see some Austin-area types visit this forum. Can anyone tell me anything about this fellow?

Asking for a friend who will be visiting in the area and may be relocating permanently:
Anyone doing Classical Fencing in Austin? Or, any kind of fencing?
Sorry if this question has already been covered, but did you ever find Mr Gershberg, bladesparks?
Thanks very much!

I went googling one day and noted quite a concentration of classical salles on both coasts, primarily the northern part of both coasts (not surprising) and a few around St. Louis (somewhat surprising).
Any ideas why classical fencing never "took" here?
Not my real interest. Just curious.
