We've postponed the start of our silent auction benefiting the Scholarship Fund of the Gulf Coast Girl's Fencing Association until next week. Donors have been very generous and include The Rainbow Lodge Restaurant, Redstone Golf Course, Leon Paul USA, Absolute Fencing, Sam Caldwell (Coastal Conservation Assn. artist--www.samcaldwell.com), and Rebecca Collins (www.artpaws.com)---just to name a few. A partial list of items for bid will be posted on this site next Tuesday morning-- plus all items can be viewed at Katy Blades Fencing Academy from Tuesday through Wednesday( the close of bidding). Thank you for your support and anyone wishing to contribute items or gift certificates prior to the opening of bidding should email us at gulfcoastgfa@comcast.net Thanks again,
Bill Davie

Do the donations have to be fencing-related or more general (dinner at a restaurant, etc...)

No, they can be anything--restaurants, artists, or any item or service that people might need or want--for example, bas pro shops donated a nice "Red Head" camo shoulder pack--really nice, but not for me--but the kids that have seen it think its great. Check out the two artists web sites--they are really something. Thanks for helping clarify things, Bill

Excellent, bill! I've sent you an email for more information. I am hoping we can help in some small way.

Remember to put net after comcast or the email won't go through. (gulfcoastgfa@comcast.net) Thanks for your support--the best way to help is to spread the news around about the items we'll list next Tuesday am--and bid if possible--the minimums will be a great value compared to the actual retail costs. I'll post the current winning bid amounts near the end of the bidding ( I'll announce when that will be posted) so that people on line can email a higher bid if they wish. It sounds more complicated than it is, but we know that it's a long way out to the rice fields of Katy!
