from Adam Brewer's Facebook post...
Adam Brewer Got to see a bit of Long Island yesterday. Went to an Italian barbershop and bakery. Went to see the beech at Fire Island and there impressively small deer. Went to the Mission Fencing Center where we met Jeff and Dennis. Good fun was had by all. Now if Justin wakes up we are going to get going and head out to Manhattan in just a short while via train. I fence at 3:20 so time to start preparing! More later.

Nike! Plus: from Adam Brewer:Thanks to all the support from back home! There was no pool round. There was no warm-up area. So all the fencers had to go in cold. I had to relearn how to fence in the first 8 touches. So I made a strong comeback run being down 0-7 but alas it was not enough. I did prove that texas can bring it with the big boys here ...in NY and got alot of good feedback. The event was a blast! My thanks to Tim and the rest! Post Tournament update! Saw the view from the Empire State building. Went into Time Square. After the event I went with Justin and his friend (mind blank) to a restaurant in brooklyn! Got the subway experience. Had a giant clusterbeep on the Subway system. Made a stop in Jamaica station in Queens before getting home at 3:00am. I like this city.
