Veteran Fencers: As I have mentioned to some of you, Woodlands Fencing Academy intends to host several tournaments next season. One of these will be a Veterans Fencing Weekend. Since this will be one of our first tournaments, I would like your thoughts on how best to attract (and satisfy) our Veteran fencers from the Gulf Coast and neighboring divisions. How many folks can we expect? What events should we have? Mixed events? What works and what does not?
We have some of the finest veteran fencers in the country and I want to be sure we get it right. We also have had much interest in regularly scheduled classes for veterans only and we will begin these classes on Thursdays in August.
Your thoughts are appreciated! Leslie

As Leslie mentioned above, our Thursday night class for adults has started and has been a lot of fun.
We'd like to invite all adult fencers (over the age of 21) to visit us on Thursdays for an evening of fencing and social time.
At 7 p.m. we have a yoga instructor lead us in a 30 minute stretching class ($5 to the instructor).
7:30 we have a brief warm up and foot work class, a little blade work and then we fence. We have experienced fencers and some of us are just starting out.
After fencing we adjourn to our waiting room for a small adult beverage and appetizers and a few laughs.
If there are any other questions, or for directions to the club (Google has made a road that doesn't exist), give my cell a call-281-507-5574.
