Just passing along...
CASTING CALL
Middlefaire will be holding a official cast recruitment and planning session on Saturday, August 20th, at the conference room at Super 8, located at 1512 Hillview Drive, Hillsboro, Texas.
The session will begin at 12 Noon and will be open-ended throughout the afternoon.
This will be an official Cast Meeting only; not a vendor discussion group or other faire-related social gathering.
Middlefaire is actively looking for Official Cast members who will perform as wandering lane characters that interact with faire patrons.
We are specifically looking for:
- Undead horror characters for Halloween opening weekend
- Pirates
- Rural peasants or town characters in roughly 17th Century garb
- Town Criers/Hawkers
- Wooden cart peddlers or fishwives
- Sailors or nomadic traders from exotic lands.
- Brigands or highwaymen
- Street Harlequins, Jugglers, or Court Jesters
- Comedy performers willing to work with water, mud, or flying vegetables
- LARP characters interested in use of foam weapons
Pirate and horror characters will be expected to play dual roles as both pirates AND horror characters.
We are not actively seeking famous named historical characters at this time, although prospective cast members interested in portraying specific historical parts should arrive in costume and may audition their roles at the meeting. The historical year of Middlefaire is 1652, during the Interregnum presided over by Oliver Cromwell. The village is set in the County of Kent near the coast and is meant to simulate a period Fair like a Champagne Fair.
All prospective cast members must have Internet connections and should be willing to interact on social networks like Facebook.
Interested parties should contact me via email at the following address:
