Hey guys, TSFC is in need of some more refs for the Bobcat. If you're interested feel free to email the coordinator, Kevin Beahan, at kb1252@txstate.edu or me at dl1088@txstate.edu. We're looking primarily for foil/sabre officials, but if you can only do epee that's fine too.

Whyizzit that someone from the NWFC has signed up for each of the last two big epee events? The Cougar and now the Bobcat. Do they like kitty cats?

Whyizzit that someone from the NWFC has signed up for each of the last two big epee events? The Cougar and now the Bobcat. Do they like kitty cats? Perhaps, but it may also be that that they recognized that epee in Texas can amount to a respectable challenge, even for an out-of-state A-epeeiste. I also note that particular fencer who signed up for the Bobcat is apparantly going to school in Arizona (a bit closer than Oregon) so it is not as big a leap as appears at first blush.

Just got this e-mail:
Hey Kyle, Can you announce on the various forums that you have access to, that registration for the 2007 Bobcat has been opened up again for another 24 hours. It was inadvertently closed on the 7th. Kevin Beahan said this evening that he would open it up again and there is no late fee for at-the-door registration (unlike some other tournaments). Thanks, Oscar B.

Well done guys! You hosted a well run tournament with an impressive turnout. Thank you. I will inform the other survivors. Thank goodness we don't have many tournaments like that to put on!
