8 in both foil and epee. I gotta get around to doing the sabre practical.

8 in epee, which is what I usually ref, locally. 10 in foil and sabre. I hit the 9 by accident, but I guess I'll take that as an average.

For me, it's "No ranking and never taken the clinic." I feel so ashamed.

I was a 3 in foil and epee, and I was told I was up for a 2 when my knee stopped working the second time. I had to quite when I could not stand up, (being a referee is harder on my knee than fencing).
I lost it all and I don't even know what I am now, but I will look as soon as I get off this browser. I think I am a 6. Oh well.
It was interesting getting my referee rating, because I directed the finals of the team epee competition at the US Olympic Festival and the bronze medal epee bout. I had to black card the bronze medalist because he threw his epee after the bout a considerable distance. He as mad because he lost the quaterfinal bout.
There is a picture in Redlands Fencing Center of the team epee bouts, and I recognize the fencers and the action. I think you can see my feet, as it should be with a good referee, not noticed by anyone.

6, 7, 10. (Shouldn't have the 6 in foil, but I'll take it!)
(And I am looking for venues to ref, if anyone's interested!)

Foil 6, Epee 6 and Sabre 10.
I'm looking to travel to referee, please give me a scream if you'd like me to come down to referee for something and we'll look into it.

I confess I have neither taken the referee exam nor am I even a (current) USFA member.
That said, I wanted to thank David for contributing his experience as moderator on this board. His expertise is appreciated. Rather like LongBlade's diligence on the "News" and "Tournaments" boards and the recruitment of qualified moderators on the non-USFA boards, your expertise may one day make this forum a must-read for those who love fencing from well outside the Gulf Coast Division.

This post is just a Happy Dance to say "Yay! I picked up my Epee 5 in Reno!"

Congrats, Andrew! Andrey Geva was there refereeing. He refereed pools, DEs and the VETME Gold medal bout.
I'm just an 8 for Epee and 9 for Foil.

Congradulations to Beau Brunson, who picked up his 5 in Sabre at the Reno NAC too.

F/E/S 9/7/9, though I haven't seen it confirmed yet. I think I need a 6 in order for it to last me without having to worry about it. I'd like observing in foil and sabre, just because I feel undervalued but I don't want to ref for it!

I forgot that Gary bumped my epee to a 7 right after the holidays. Still to low for sectionals, etc. Then too, I'm mostly a local ref, anyway.
