Administration/General Management: Profit/Loss/General Management/Executive Director
Executive Director - U.S. Fencing Association (Colorado Springs, CO)
ABOUT THE USFA: The United States Fencing Association is the National Governing Body for fencing in the United States. Fencing is one of the original Olympic sports. The association serves upwards of 20,000 members ranging in age from under ten to over seventy, including athletes, coaches, parents and volunteers who participate in programs ranging from youth to veterans, grassroots to Olympians. Over 600 fencing clubs, in all fifty states, are also members of the association.
ED ROLE: The Executive Director manages and leads the USFA in accordance with the organization by-laws and Board policies, giving appropriate consideration to the rules and policies of the
Federation International d’Escrime (FIE, the world governing body) and the United States Olympic Committee (USOC). The ED supervises a staff of seven. (NOTE: candidates will receive the job description and other relevant documents as part of the search process.)

--Significant experience in sports administration or related field EXPERIENCE,
--Superior leadership abilities, including skills to build positive SKILLS and relationships and to bring diverse groups to consensus ATTRIBUTES
--Proven ability to sustain financial stability and maintain growth
--Excellent oral and written communication skills
--A strong reputation for authenticity and integrity
