I don't know if everyone has heard, but I just got word that Dan Gorman will be home by Christmas! Praise God and everone please continue to pray for his safety in travel back home. Dan, thank you so much for your service to us. You have been missed and your sacrafice is appreciated more than you know. We are looking forward to thanking you in person and hearing of your experiences in Iraq. Your safe return is a great Christmas present to us all.

That is good news. On a related note, Mike Mergens made an appearance this last Thursday at the Clear Lake Fencing Club.
Hopefully they will both stay with us for some time.

And for a more recent update, I am currently just about finished out-processing at Ft. Hood. My stint on active duty officially ends on the 30th and 90 days after that I will be a full time civilian for the first time in 11 years.
I'd like to thank everyone for their support and kind words this last year. It really makes a difference. Hope to see people at up coming tournaments.

Welcome home Dan! On a similar note, my son Sean Smith has just deployed toIraq...he's currently staging in Kuwait, and will be in Bagdhad in a few weeks Please keep him in your thoughts...

Best of luck to him. Does he know where he'll be stationed yet? What unit is he going with?

He thinks he's going to be on the northeast side of the city. He's Quartermaster Corps, assigned to 1-5th Cav. 92 Foxtrot (I think)...Fuel Distribution Spec.
