Holie Jebus, I having a bad time supergluing wire-wrap wire...runny glue, wire snapping when it's pulled taunt and wrapped around the tang...where's all the fun of a good ol' "do it yourself" job??? Any one have any hints, other than pay someone else to do it?

My wife uses Elmer's glue for wiring. The wire doesn't pop out any more often than with super glue or anything else we've tried, and it's a lot easier to clean up.
As far as wiring itself goes, I generally try to glue the two wires together after straightening them. I also make sure I get the wire well taped to the tang as opposed to wrapping it around the tang before putting the bend in the blade.

A blade must be bent after wiring with superglue even? Dumb question no dout but Volkman's manual acted as if weapons wired with superglue could be fenced with within five minutes of wiring.

A blade that's just been wired should have a bend held in it as the glue dries so that the wire will have enough slack (for lack of the correct word) to take the bends it receives every time a touch is scored. If you don't bend the blade while the glue is drying, the wire is more likely to snap when stressed. Or so I've been told.
I'd let a blade wired with superglue cure for an hour or so before fencing with it. The 5 minute thing is something you do with that bit of wire that pops up right before you're called to strip.

Actually, I was trying for humor with "Epeeists'...". They (we) don't have the problem, or option. The foil...wire- wrap is new to me. Hard to pull tight without breaking before the arcing of the blade. A little glue goes a long way...down the groove onto the tang, or into the barrel and over the mushroom cap. Let's not forget to mention how the wire floats in the groove when it's not tight. How much fun can a guy stand??? The solution? I think I'll go back to the old thread wraped, thicker commercial vendor's wire...(in self defense).

OK, Bladeniks, how did you do this? Reuse the plastic cap and put the wire wrap into those tiny little cylinders...(with or without solder)? I'd like to try this.

Longblade says that Cementit is much better than Superglue... "Superglue is evil.."
