Interesting problem. I just switched out a russian s2000 blade with an stm s2000 blade. And intermitently I will get a single light off of the box from blade contact.
Known Facts: -both bodycords are polarized correctly -Both fencing blades in question use masqueing tape for insulation on the guard -when blades tap the bell guard no reactio with the box
My first theory is that there isn't anough insulation on one or more parts of the blade.
Second theory is that its the box(I am not sure if it's an eigertek or not)
third theory is that somehow my opponent is touching thebellguard to the lame part of the glove.
Help is appreciated

Well, (just my observations, could be complete crap), if this started after you switched blades, it's probably something in the socket. Try switching sockets. It also could be the connection of the socket to the bell guard. Try reseating the entire assembly.

Is it a white light or a grounding light?
If it's a grounding light, at some point there is a short between the lame and the blade (body cord). This merely makes the blade target when the light is lit. Retape your pommel nut and bottom of the guard.
If it's a white light then there is a break in the continuity between the b- and c-lines. It may or may not matter depending on which wire has the issue (b=bad, c=cool). Make sure the blade is tight, then check the socket nuts are tight and not insulated. If those are both okay, then check the body cord for a broken wire.
It doesn't matter if the bodycord is wired correctly or not in saber, only foil. The insulation only matters if it's the grounding light*. The box is very unlikely to be the problem.

*Switch to tennis grip tape or gaffer's tape instead of masking tape -- the stuff has no durability.

I am getting a green light since I am on the right side. For some reason it only happens when I try to take 4 hard and fast.

Check the insulation on the pommel and the entire weapon. Have someone watch the box to see if you're grounding. If not and it's still happening, change sides. Still happening, change weapons. Still happening, change body cords. Still happening, switch to epee.

eliminating problems one at a time. What is the best way to use an LP Bayonette socket on a saber. I know that I need to get a piece of wire to the guard. What would you all recommend for this.(paperclip from socket to guard. or a snapped foil wire that is stripped connected from the socket to the guard.

I was confused at first, let me make sure I understand now. When your opponent attacks you in 4 and you parry, the machine indicates you hit your opponent. This only happens when you're attacked in 4. Do you have this problem with multiple opponents, or just the one? Anyway, if this is correct, then the problem is likely your opponent. He/she is touching an uninsulated part of the weapon to the lame. There is a chance the problem is in the reel or the floor cord, but more likely it's your opponent's weapon. It isn't the blade, the socket, or the bodycord. First ditch the masking tape and switch to tennis grip tape or gaffer's tape. Also paint the inside of the guard with a couple good coats. After that, check the pommel nut is grounded. Check to see if the tang is sticking through -- they usually have to be cut down a little or they can poke through the middle of the pommel nut and ground on the cuff. That should deal with the problem if I understand what you're describing. There's also an issue with how the cut is being made. The saber cut should be delivered with the fingers, not the wrist. If you're cutting correctly, this really shouldn't be happening. Come by Salle Mauro some time and I'll help you out a little. Dan

You stated it might be a Eigertech. There was a problem with one of their chips with exactly that problem. They have fixed it. If it is get the replacement chip.
