Subject: TILT TA's and Interns
I'm looking for five Teaching Assistance (TA's) and four Interns for The TILT.
TA Requirements:
- Proof of current membership in the SAFD or sister organizations.
- Proof of being at least an SAFD Actor Combatant or similar rank in a sister organization.
- Proof of having tested, passed and are current in at least five weapons disciplines. Two of which must be unarmed and either rapier and dagger or single sword.
- Teaching and/or Teaching assistant resume.
- Those who have led classes must submit a letter of recommendation from an employer.
- Those who have only assisted teachers must submit a letter of recommendation from an SAFD Certified Teacher, Fight Director or Fight Master - or a similar rank in a sister organization of which you are a member - that you have assisted.
Intern requirements:
- Proof of current membership in the SAFD or sister organizations.
- Proof of being an SAFD Actor Combatant or similar rank in a sister organization.
- Proof of having tested, passed and are current in at least three weapons disciplines. Two of which must be unarmed and either rapier and dagger or single sword.

All applications are due by March 15, 2010. Those selected will be contacted no later than April 1, 2010.
TA's and Interns are expect to be available from the evening of May 28th through the evening of May 31st. If you would like to take the SAFD Gun Safety Course, you'll need to arrive on the evening of May 26th. Your fee for the gun workshop will be $100.
Since the numbers of participants are limited, please indicate in your application that you would want to take the gun safety course. That way I can reserve a space for those who are chosen.
TA's and Interns will be responsible for their own flights and motel accommodations. You will be picked up and taken to the airport. Off Square Theatre Company is negotiating group rates for three or four motels which are a five minute walk to the workshop spaces.
