There is a fellow named (I believe) Randy Dixon who has taught fencing off and on in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. I want to think he currently lives in Brownsville. For a time he would drive out as far as McAllen to give classes/lessons, but I think he staying close to Brownsville these days.
Anyway, I did shoot him a line and pointed him to your post.
He may post here or email me back. If he does the latter, I'll post it here.

tjkeeper, so far I have had no response from the email I sent Randy Dixon. There have been a number of brief groups over the years down that way, both at MMA and the old Texas Southmost College. There is a sporadically active Yahoo Group for fencers in the Lower Rio Grand Valley under the heading of the Noble Palladins. The url for the Yahoo Group is here: sports.groups.yahoo.com/group/NoblePaladinsRGV/I hope this helps. My reading of the group is that it's been inactive for about a year and a half but there has been a bit of stirring on their group of late.

meesuh, I sent an email to Randy Dixon of Harlingen a couple of days ago. He has occasionally taught fencing in the Lower Rio Grande Valley. I pointed him to this thread. He may contact you.
