Congratulations to the winners? So who ran and what were the totals?
Are there other minutes available?

So I'm guessing Mauro and Louise showed up with proxies.
How's that different than the people trying to unite on this board behind their candidate?

Dan:
I don't have totals. I suspect when he's recovered from his other duties this weekend at the Divisional Qualifiers, Matt will have totals.
I was in the room for the initial meeting (as Treasurer) but missed the election. There was a tournament to get started.
I've been told Andrey and Louise were the only nominees for Chair. (I could be in error).
I'm told, besides myself, the nominees for Vice Chair were Joseph Reeve and Andrey.
I do not think anyone nominated anyone else for Secretary except Matt.
Other than Dennis, I think Andrey was the only other nominee for Treasurer, but he declined this nomination.
Yes, there were proxies. Louise had a lot. Mauro had several. Andrey had some. My wife and Matt each had some from CLFC. The smaller clubs like Katy Blades, Spindletop Cavaliers and the Rice Fencing Club also had some.
I know that a fair number of proxies held by different people were voided.
Also, there were a good 30+ individuals on scene. Also present was Jerry Benson from the USFA.
I don't know more. As I said, I was in and out after this since we had lots of antsy fencers who wanted to comptete.

I was there at the meeting. Pretty much everything that Schlager said is correct. We were not terribly antsy during the voting for Pres and VP, but after that point, everyone was pretty antsy to get the tournament started.
I was highly dissapointed to hear the results for President. Having realised that certain people were going to make sure that Andrey did not hold office, I cast my votes upon another candidate for VP. Truly sad. Personally, I think we really need to get this executive committee idea going.

The results for the election of the officers of the division mean nothing compared to the passage of the Bylaw Amendments. The unanimous vote to pass the Amendments created the Division Board of Directors, which essentially is a permanent version of The Committee but is in charge of the policies of the Division. The Executive Officers will now only run the division, not say what & what will not be done.
The Board is to be made up of one representative of each club. There are 18 or 19 clubs in the Division. Each Board Member gets one vote (notice no proxies). We found that on the Committee, the members surprisingly had similar wishes for the direction in which the Division should go. The Board will mostly assure that no one person's agenda is carried out, but the combined strength of the clubs will determine what's best for the Division.
So, in answer to "It was lame", we didn't exactly sell out. We just changed our tactics. And, if you read MTD's post, Andrey got 46 non-sell out votes for Chair & 38 for Vice Chair.
