I know that the Ken Hogan is in San Marcos, but I did not see it on the calendars when I made my division request for the two weekends. Sorry Kyle and Oscar. Most of my fencers would not be travelling yet because they are signing up for USFA at this tournament. Oscar decided to hold the Ken Hogan on that date at the last minute. We didn't know you were looking at the same date at the time either.

I know that the Ken Hogan is in San Marcos So THATS why Longblade is not coming to this event. I was worried that it was because I was preregistered and he knows its my turn to win our see-saw battle-of-the-beergut rivalry. Whats your excuse?

I have a fishing trip booked that weekend. Long in advance of either tournament being scheduled. Would you turn down a weekend on a private charter boat, a cabin at the Land Cut on South Padre, and with a beautiful woman? Not even you could pass that up! I'll see you at the Games of Texas the next weekend in Round Rock.

Longblade, I'm sooo disappointed in you. You pass up fencing so easily. I think everyone else on this board is in agreement with me when I say you should fence one of the two tournaments and let me substitute for you this weekend. ;D It's only the right thing to do.

Augie, I will be unable to go on Sunday due to a family activity. Given that your tournament is limited in attendance, I have withdrawn mylsef and my son. I hope that you have a great tournament. Regards, Jose

I truly appreciate the offer but, I cannot ask that of you, my friend. It is my burden to bear.

Thanks Jose, Dean Lantrip was in town and really wanted to fence, so he has been added. I have several others that have asked. Sign up quickly and I will add you. I had two that seemed to autoregister, and I will post here any repeat offenders. FRED is a great tool if it is not abused. The registration is available on askfred: askfred.net/Events/whoIsComing.php?tournament_id=3907Div. II is 21 fencers possible C1 Senior Mixed epee 19 fencers, 5 As, 3 Bs, 4 Cs See you there. Augie

I probably should have just gone fencing. The fishing stank! The guide canceled because of the weather so, we never got to go to the land cut. We fished along the shore in Port A. The water was nasty brown and full of seaweed. Nobody got anything at Fish Pass jetty so, we went to the Caldwell Pier. I got one (1) 15" Whiting all day. I was one of the lucky ones... at least I caught something. Oh, well, maybe next time.

Longblade,
I remember there being mention a beautiful woman in this discussion. If she did not cancel, then you must have had a successful trip. I love fishing, but priorities must be put in perspective.
We missed you anyway. We had 10 new USFA memberships from this weekend, so soon there will be new recruits for other tournaments.
Augie

It's a shame I was out of the state at a family reunion. If I'd hauled my little E05 down for the Div II Epee it could have been fun. Then again, this would require me to have finally built my epees.

If you had been there it would have been a C1, since we were missing one E or above. Next weekend on Sunday is a potential C1 also. They aren't that easy though, because one of the beginners beat an A07 the next day 5 - 1 in the pools.
