When I first started up the Rogue Gulf Coast Fencing site (according to the host, some 190 weeks ago!) I updated it infrequently. As a result, I took to sending emails out to various folks to let them know I had updated it.
These days I'm (just a little) better about updating it. As well, the site is linked to by a lot of other sites.
My question is, "Is there still a need/desire to send the update notices or can I just let folks find it as needed?"
I'll leave this up through the end of the year and see what folks think.

I voted for "I guess I want one," but I qualify that with, "if you update it more than weekly. I usually check it around Wednesdays and it seems to have been updated by then (usually on Mondays, IIRC).

I already check it once or twice per week.

I check on my own. Constantly. I'm probably here more than anyone else.

I'm not really voting AGAINST getting notices. They don't bother me, but I check the rogue site about every 3 or 4 days anyway.
It's just not necessary in my case.

Doesn't hurt my soul any to get a heads-up when the Rogue gets an update. What's the harm, anyway? I check it about once a week either way. I say keep it up.
Oh, and in case you haven't heard it lately; Thanks, Schlager!

Inasmuch as there has been little response and nothing like a mandate so far, I will likely experiment with doing my usual Monday evening updates but without sending the email notices and see what happens for a few weeks.
Of course I am also aware that the very people to read this post and respond to the poll are exactly the same folks who would check the rogue site on their own, as well, along with other sites, just to stay informed.
