Check out the following post from Fencing Net: ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Wireless Epee in NYC (outdoor) We'll have two different wireless systems at the Riverside Epee Open this April 29th. If all goes well, the semis and finals will be fenced wirelessly in the round. The location is at Riverside Park and 73rd Street, right by the river, so feel free to invite friends and family. We're hoping to put on a good show for the public. ------------------------------------------------------------------ They have pre-registration set up on FRED

I'm wondering how they'll handle grounding...

Well, a simple answer to that would be to put to people behind each fencer and have them watch for ground or on target hits... Hey, wait a minute!
The other question regards the term "in the round". Does this mean that they'll be surrounded by spectators but still fence on a strip or will the fencers eschew a strip and go to a more realistic playing field. This makes thwarts and slips a possibility. Now can electric rapier/dagger be far behind?

I confess I was skeptical and remain so to a large degree, but I'm also intrigued because Zivkovic is involved.

As long as it does not involve the dreaded epee lame body suit discussed in another thread about a year ago!
