I just wanted to toss in my appreciation for the "Forum Theatre." This has the potential to really go somewhere if enough folks toss in vid clips. The jousting competition last week was great.
I see we have short spots now, but the kendo disarming clip was also enlightening. Wow, that must have been humiliating being so effortlessly disarmed in front of all those people.
The Natalie Portman piece is cute. The Israeli commercial with it's nod to the first Banderas/Zeta-Jones duel was great fun.
Now how about some winning touches from local tournaments?

You're right about the kendo clip. The body language on the guy who was disarmed is priceless. Nothing like having your opponent control you like a puppet in front of 1,000 people or more.
I'd be curious how well he did after something like that.
I like your idea about winning touches. Anyone take any videos at the Games of Texas?

Just FWIW, I've changed the vids on the forum.
#1 is the fencing segment from Leni Riefenstahl's "Olympia" shot at the 1936 Olympics. We see the epee fencing in shadows of the contestants and some fairly good shots of the sabre.
#2 is something I got a few requests for so I googled it... sabre vs Kendo
#3 is from the 2006 Nationals and features wheelchair foil, 5 touch pool bout of Rogers vs Van der Wege.
