The comic strip "Cleats" started a fencing thread this past Saturday. www.ayso-l.org/cleats/home.htmI am not savvy enough to figure out how to cut and paste the strips into this forum, so if someone else can do it, thanks. Also, I've sent an email to Bill Hinds, the creator of "Cleats", thanking him for highlighting our sport in his strip. You can email him at: cleatsmail@aol.com. We don't know if Edith will take up the sport or not....lets keep our fingers crossed. I figure any publicity is good publicity.

I admit I just didn't wanna wade through all the code. Wow, what a BUSY page. With apologies, I did just go in and modify Phincer's post. Since they came up with the creator's email address, I figured I'd make it even easier for us to thank him by making it a direct email link. Again, my apologies. I don't generally alter someone else's post.

I'M FOLLOWING IT TOO!!! I've allways enjoyed the strip, and I just KNEW with all the "exotic" sports they cover, that they would get to fencing sooner or later. I think the young lady is perfect for fencing...they may have to change the name of the strip to "Blades"!

Schlager, thanks for the alteration of my post! Don't apologize for helping the feeble and computer challenged of the world.
I'm doing good to get a link cut and pasted in here!

So, Jay... some of us might have been too busy to try to convert it to a jpg file. But, gotta ask... how come your post just changed to the next day's comic?

That's a great question! Ya caught me red handed. I simply copied the html for the comic strip. Whoops!

Yeah, that's why I didn't copy the html of yesterday's strip. It indicated it was the html for whatever that day's comic strip is. It seems the artist updates his page daily with the newest strip.
I went to the "September" page, but saw I'd have to wade throught the html for every strip, probably with lots of trial and error.
It was a good try, though...
...and the strip is still on fencing.

I got an e-mail from Cleats creator, Bill Hinds. Something to look forward to! ;D
"Kyle, Thanks for the kind words. Fencing is a great sport. I hope to feature it in Cleats many times in the future. Bill Hinds"

Scroll up and check out today's Cleats! If you missed the ones he did earlier in the year, the Cleats website has an archive. I predict Edith kicks fencing a**!!!!

Thanks for the heads up, kb! I picked up an image capture program after our old efforts to snag this strip failed several months ago.
