I was looking for a kendo dojo in Dallas for a friend's son. In the course of it I found a Yahoo Group specifically for a kendo group at UT-Dallas. Just in case anyone is interested. Unfortunately, I doesn't look like they've had anyone post since December 2005. UT-Dallas Kendo

I was looking for a kendo dojo in Dallas for a friend's son. There is the Dallas/Fort Worth Kendo & Iaido Kyokai. Here is their web site: www.dfwkik.org/2003/index.html

Now, this is a different entity than John Ray's dojo in Denton, right?

Now, this is a different entity than John Ray's dojo in Denton, right? That is correct. Mainly they do Kendo. While they do practice iaido, it is under the auspices of the Kendo Federation. I have heard that in addition to Federation iai (standardized set), they do Muso Shinden Ryu Iaido as their koryu (old style form).

Interesting... I noticed on their website that, among their links for "Other Kendo & Iaido Organizations" was a link to the Fencing Institute of Texas.
Does FIT run kendo and iaido classes?
