HPD officer shoots sword-wielding man in chestHouston Chronicle Aug. 17, 2008 www.chron.com/disp/story.mpl/front/5948461.htmlA Houston police officer shot a man who was wielding a sword at him Saturday night, officials said. Police found the man in a driveway in the 3300 block of Hastings. The man, whose name was not released, approached police with the sword. Officers retreated, asking the man to put down the weapon. Police said the man continued to advance toward the officers. One of the officers shot him once in the chest. The man was transported to Ben Taub General Hospital, where he is undergoing surgery, police said. No further information was immediately available.

I hope this wasn't Curtis feeling his oats. After all, after the banquet, he smelled like a brewery after the waiter got through dumping a beer on him.

The waiter pouring the beer over Curtis was no accident!
That was our celebration of the 3-weapon winner, a la the football tradition of pouring stuff over the winning coach!

All of the Vets from the Fete De Lune are accounted for, right??? Where is Curtis??? According to FRED, after the Fete de Lune on Saturday, he ran back to San Antonio in time enough to win the sabre competition there on Sunday!!! He had a good (and busy) weekend.
