I just wanted to post a reminder here.
If you have any intention to vote for Division Officers (Executive Committee, i.e. Chair, Vice-Chair, Secretary, Treasurer):
You must sign up for USFA membership in January. Once we are into February, odds are very good that the memberships won't show as confirmed by election date.
FYI: According to our By-Laws, the elections are to be held at the Divisional Qualifiers before the competitions begin.

You might want to get your membership in now for the following reason actually:
While it doesn't specifically say that this applies to division elections, I believe it still does.

(I agree with Dan about the USFA Bylaws not stating that what the USFA Bylaws have to say about voting is binding on division-level votes -- and also about it being standard practice to presume that they do apply.)
Actually, Dan's quote is inaccurate. It seems he made the blunder of relying on the USFA to provide the text of the USFA Bylaws! (A surprising error; Dan has the Division administration experience to know that the USFA cannot always be taken at face value!) It takes some digging, but eventually one can find that the USFA Bylaws on the Web site are out of date by two substantial revisions.
The Bylaws as Dan quoted them say 1) member before February, and 2) 18 before February. The Bylaws were amended to include one more provision: It is the job of the member to cause headquarters to believe before February that the age is satisfactory. Proof of age is irrelevant if the member refuses to inform headquarters before February. This one more setence was added to the paragraph Dan quotes:
