Been using the Hitmate for a few weeks with some friends to epee fence in the park and decided to purchase a dagger weapon set from the DFA website. Anyone here try 2 weapon fencing yet with the hitmate in a square piste?

I'll have to check out the website. I'm not familiar with "hitmate."

If DFA is the system I'm thinking of, the "dagger" is essentially a small (zero or less) epee blade mounted to a sabre guard. I've seen the hitmate system used. Nice for practice with epees.

DFA stands for the Dagger Fencing Association. I think Fox' description of the dagger is not far off the mark. As to Hitmate, that is a product/system for wireless epee scoring. It is particularly good for practice with a partner and for giving demos where you want to be able to indicate touches without carrying around a scorebox, reels and floor cords.

Greetings, The dagger weapon has the flexibility of a foil but consists of an epee tip with saber guard. The HITMATE is available for around $300 bucks and is not bad when compared to tethered scoring equipment. If you want to learn more go the the website: www.daggerfencing.comHope to see you there!
