...are this coming Saturday.
You knew this was coming, so here goes.
I strongly encourage each USFA member of the Gulf Coast Division to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming elections. Ideally, everyone would vote for themselves, in person.
I am not nearly idealistic enough to think we will ever come close to that.
Since, however, I can recall single-digit attendance at some elections, we are still ahead of a half decade past.
If you can not or will not attend to vote, then please, please take a moment, consider someone who you know will be attending, someone who shares your outlook, and vote by extending your proxy ballot to them.
Please note I am neither endorsing nor disparaging any potential candidates. (My vote will be my business). I am simply asking as many USFA members as this message can reach to vote, one way or another.

Not much. There were no non-incumbents who were nominated or stated they wished to run for office. The four incumbents were all re-elected, same posts. (Unfortunately for her, that included my wife). The group that met was pretty small. IIRC it included 3 of the four current EC Members (Louise Lepie, Rachel El-Saleh and Matt Delavoryas, Nicole being at work). Others present that I recall, besides myself, were: Terry Unrein Susie Smith Chris Williams Davis Jno-Finn Dan Gorman Jesus Nino I'm pretty sure Sean Smith's dad was also present. I do not recall anyone else, but others could have been present. Just FWIW, since Louise mentioned it at the meeting, Nicole and I donated to the division an old laptop computer we had around the house, along with a printer and projector. The division will have to pay for a replacement power source for the laptop. We still had unopen ink cartidges for the printer (we just upgrade a couple of months ago). The division will also need to purchase an appropriate cable to connect the computer to the projector. With that done, the idea is to load the computer with Fencing Time and X Seed and make it, the printer and projector available to clubs for running their tournaments. (Yes, there are still small, poor clubs that could use such things)
