Fencing.net forums are still down. I knew I spent a lot of time there, but since the downtime started, I've had a lot of threads I wanted to start or participate in, in particular, and while there's always here, the membership of this forum is a little more exclusive, so I can't tweak the Triplette posters for admitting their "FIE" masks aren't really FIE, and then leaving them in their recently delivered catalog, or stuff like that. Anyone else suffering withdrawl?

I generally visit Fencing.Net only once a week, unless something posted here causes me to look that way.
The problem for me is that it is usually on the weekend that I visit. Ah, well, maybe I'll revisit the thread with the links to the other forums, fora, whatever...

Rats! It's still down.
Not that I'm ragging on Craig, we owe him too much for that.

Ah, well, maybe I'll revisit the thread with the links to the other forums, fora, whatever... Went there...Tried that.. Ark-La-Miss now requires you to register as a member before you can even read their posts. When did that happen? I looked around the Plains TX Division forum and the Rocky Mountain Section forum. Interesting, but they are even slower than this board. The Clear Lake HS Fencing forum mostly just has LongBlade's tournament announcements. Are they even around anymore? The Clear Lake Fencing Club forum is all gibberish-spam... Nothing on Amarillo College's forum, except, again, LongBlade's announcements. I gave up after that and went to the UK-based Fencing Forum...

I'm missing it too. The address www.fencing.net/forums/ now redirects to the front page. Even the discussion forum link there redirects. It's a little teasing loop.

It's back up, although much uglier and buggy looking right now!

Back up again, and more normal looking.

Thanks for the notes about fencing.net.
I try to keep the forums and site up full time, and was taking great pride in the long run with no significant downtime.
I know there will be other times where I have to initiate a server move or major upgrades, but I've got a better process in the works now for providing failovers.
You live, you learn, you get better.

He should get an account, or remember to log in.
