The fencing world welcomes its newest epee fencer, Arje Van der Wege. (It's Dutch and pronounced "R.J.") A healthy baby boy born to Gary and Ting.
I understand Gary has already bought some #2 epee blades! ;D

John and I would like to add our congratulations. Arjhe couldn't have better or sweeter parents.

Its ARJE , and he has decided he will skip using #0 blades and start with the #2. He has also mastered his referee hand signals, but we are still working on his seeing counter riposte w/preparation loosing time to a re-doubled attack.

Sorry about the spelling. I remember referees delivering calls in French. I must have instinctively translated Arje's name to the French version Arjhe. (And if you believe that one...)

Actually, It was because Gary ran up behind me while I was refereeing a bout, stuck a cigar in my hand, said "It's a boy, his name is Ar..." and ran off. *L*
Anyway, I've fixed the title of this thread now.
