It was Carpentor over Sorenson in the final. I did not see the Sorenson-Wright semi-final, but the semi-final between the Carpenator and the 6dark6knight6 was a very good bout and very tight in places. (Note: jazz007 from the forum was the ref.)

The event felt like an A4 tournament but we missed the 36th fencer being a C or better. It is too bad that some fencers did not show up. We had the number of fencers, more than enough A's and B's, adequate finish of highly rated fencers. I fenced very poorly, but my son did well including beating Sorensen and Stephan in pools losing eventually to Augie. Wow. That's an excellent result for your son!

Wow. That's an excellent result for your son! Thanks, I was very proud of his fencing. He is growing up... a couple more inches, and he will be really good.

When a parent says something like that, I wonder what Mr. Trapani's parents said... (or any of the other Epee Junior Giants we have).

Heh! Yeah, reffing that made me a little nervous - Saturday was my first *full* day of directing. But, thanks to Jim and Robert for fencing cleanly and well! A pleasure to watch and ref.

Nice job reffing Jazzy... and nice fencing Robert... ya gotta be careful of those Egyptian Gods.... very touchy!
Anyway, was a great tournament, and I'm sure Robert will get me next year.
Congrats everyone!

Maybe, it's the 007 part of jazz007's handle, but I suddenly began thinking of Robert as the Man With the Golden Grip.

I had a WF fencer at the Rose with pink grips and bodycords. I told her "you must really like pink" but she claimed they were gifts...
