As of this writing, FRED shows 2 Bs & 4 Cs pre-registered.

Why do we have this category? Forbus in 1st. Me in top 4.

I went with Forbus also, but I see someone went with Daniel and I'm wondering if they know something I don't...

I'll vote for old age and treachery. You go, Ray!

*chuckle* Forbus for sure. Opponent TBA. Be nice if his teammate, young Mr. Chiya (who won the Pouj) showed up. Odds of that happening though are slim.

Bayarena has improved dramaticly from what I've heard, and his result at the Pouj. He used to rely on gimmicky moves, his height and epee tricks to win, but apparently he's been concentrating on footwork recently and it's paying off.

AHA! I see Joe Wysocki's name on the seeding. Maybe I should have picked "someone else."

Tim Guerinot is on that list, too, now, so add another B to the mix (along with Wysocki's A).
He's one to ponder. It is just possible Wysocki and Forbus wind up meeting in a DE before finals (vagaries of post-pool seeding, etc). If Wysocki eliminates Forbus and finds he's fencing Guerinot, it could be interesting. Overall, on any random fencing day, my call is Wysocki, but he and Guerinot have fenced each other with great frequency for years. If Joe has a bad day and Tim has a good one... Guerinot could take it.
Conversely, Forbus is definitely on right now. Same scenario and if Joe has a bad footwork day... It's Jared's.
I see real potential here.

I see lots of really great fencing and my predicted result dropping fast.

Oh. So I relooked up the Section Circuit seeding rules, and I feel rather better. I'm the #3 seed, behind Wysocki and Forbus.

Joe took it. Tim was second. Not that I voted for anyone.

How Andrew fared?

13 out of a field of 27. Then, too, a field than includes Forbus, Guerinot, Wysocki, Ivanov, Chao and Challinor is a pretty tough field.

It wasn't even them. I lost my second DE to Lancaster 14-15 on a parry that was just a bit too shallow and my riposte got locked out.
