Sutter showed up and won it. His presence along with El-Saleh helped push the tournament to an A2, I think. They handed out some new ratings and renewed some others. It was a nice, strongish foil tournament.

Sutter took Gold, but John Poirot of the LA division came in and took 2nd, going from a D to a B, and Jonathon Parker and Zach B of AFC got to fence for 3rd. Zach got his B06. El-Saleh had a tough bout against Jonathon Parker with lots of equipment troubles, and was knocked out there in the 8.
