Congratulatons! Be her a fencer or not, here's my advice for the perfect life:
Parry slow, repost even slower. Give ground before atacking. Let her have the final touch...in this sort of match, that means you win!

If I had known that sooner I may have still been in a couple relationships. Congrats, David. I look foward to a huge Sabre Wedding!! ;D Her dress should be made out of Ulhman Lames!!

We have gotten A LOT of requests for "the story" of how David proposed. Since I've only told it about 501,895 times, I'd be HAPPY to repeat it one more time! I'll never get tired of telling it David usually drops me off at work in the morning. Last Tuesday was no different. We arranged a pickup time and place. When I went outside to meet him after work, however, his car was nowhere to be found. Instead, one of our fencing friends greeted me, blindfold in hand. She tied it around my eyes, seated me in her car, and whisked me off to a secret location. After arriving there, she guided me down a path to a bench; I heard her footsteps as she left. The next thing I knew, the blindfold was being whisked off and standing there before me was the most handsome man I have ever seen, dressed in blue faire garb with black leather accents. (Yes, all you jokers, it was David.) He had applied liberal quantities of my favorite cologne--Burberry's--and was holding a red rose. Then he got down on one knee (yes, ladies, he did!), handed me the rose (here come the waterworks), and got out a little wood box (more waterworks). He opened it, showed me the beautiful ring inside, and asked me to marry him. (I had to ask him later how I accepted--I knew I had said "yes!", but the details got a little fuzzy at that point). Then, my favorite part (except for the ring, of course)--he knew I would get all emotional so he pulled a blue silk handkerchief out of his shirt (one that he used to use while referreeing--I say used to because he's not getting it back ) that he had squirted with Burberry's. Wow! What a romantic! Then, I kid you not, the sun burst out from behind the clouds for the only time that day and we strolled together back to the car, ready to head out to our next destination. No, not some fancy restaurant. No, not some secret lair. Buffalo Wild Wings! The Spurs were playing that night, for heaven's sake!!! Besides, we like to play trivia and kick everyone's butt, too. A great end to a fabulous event. Thanks for the many well-wishes. I can't wait to let you see the ring in person--and tell you the story again, if you want. And maybe even if you don't ;D

Well I'm glad you finally told me the story because no one else seemed to know when I asked them. You have no idea how happy I am for you both Liz and Dave!
