This category got me to thinking that maybe we could put together a list of "fencing episodes" of old (and current) TV Shows.
To start, I'll note:
"Happy Days" had an episode where the Fonz had to fence a (possibly French) fencer.
"Magnum P. I." had an episode where Higgins appeared to kill an opponant at a fencing tournament with an electric weapon that really delivered.
"Father Knows Best" reportedly had an episode where the daughter took fencing. (The Fencing Master was played by Ralph Faulkner).
There are others, but its someone else's turn..

There were at least two episodes of Star Trek: The Next Generation that showed Captain Picard fencing. I don't remember at the moment what the names of the episodes are. His fencing is also mentioned in one of the ST Stargazer novels (Stargazer being Picard's first command).

That's right. One was a story about time loops (Picard's sort of "We'll always have Paris" story.) Picard and a crewman are fencing, salute and time loops and the salute again.
I also remember one with Picard and Whoopi Goldberg's character fencing...

The short lived sitcom Unhappily Ever After had and episode were the actor Nikki Cox went after a fencing scholarship. There was a duel at the end with her and a fellow student who were competing for the same scholarship. I don't remember how it ends, but I do remember Nikki looked pretty amazing in jacket and knickers. The episode where Picard (Patrick Stewart) fences Guinan (Whoppie Goldberg). is the episode "Hugh", where they find a Borg Drone at a crash site the crew adopt him and name him Hugh. Does anyone know if Henry Winkler (The Fonz) is a fencer in real life?

i guess im dating myself but i dont think anyone considers me a spring chicken. in the first generation star trek, there was at least two episodes where zulu fences. he was the japanese bridge crewmember, the navigator or helmsman i think. in one episode, something makes many crewmembers crazy, and he was one of the crazys. the clip i have in my head is of him racing down a corridor in full fencing duds (sans mask for theater) challenging everyone he meets

Allow me to show that I have no life by giving the name of one of the fencing Star Trek episodes, Day of the Dove. That is the one where the Klingons are on the ship and a creature turns their phasers into swords.
Also, there is a Fraser epidsode where Niles fences a guy with a sabre in his dad's living room.

Given that BOTH the O'Connell boys were/are fencers, you'd think there would have been at least ONE episode of Sliders with fencing!
